Nubian Navigateens aims to empower black and brown teenagers to manage their mental health challenges and improve their emotional well-being. The initiative provides the necessary tools and resources to improve their overall well-being. With a focus on empowerment, Nubian Navigateens offers a safe space for teenagers of colour to navigate their mental health journeys, providing support and guidance throughout the process. Through targeted support and education, dedicated to improving mental wellness and raise awareness of the unique challenges faced by young people in this demographic. The ultimate goal is to help these teens lead happy, fulfilling lives and reach their full potential in a judgement free environment.
Creative arts
Encouraging creativity is crucial for young people to develop their intuition. Through a range of activities, they can express themselves without fear of criticism. This fosters a safe environment for them to brainstorm and pitch ideas to the group, while also developing leadership skills by assisting with activities. By embracing creativity, young people can discover their talents and passions and cultivate their own unique perspectives.
breathwork & sound therapy
Managing stress can be challenging, especially for young people who may struggle to regulate their emotions. Anxiety is a common issue, and it's crucial to be aware of the causes. Equipping young Nubian King and Queens with self-awareness and tools to manage stress is essential in a world that often undervalues their worth. By teaching them these skills, we empower them to navigate and thrive in any situation.
